This is good as a meal with some hot rolls or as a side dish.
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 Tbsp butter
1 roll Jimmy Dean Sausage
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Parsley
Salt and Peppler
1/2 cup rinsed and drained rice
1 pkg of Lipton Chicken flavor Noodle Soup Mix
Saute celery, bell pepper and onion in butter until tender. Add the sausage until chopped and browned. Sprinkle with some garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt and pepper. Set aside.
In a sauce pan, add 5 cups of water, rice and the 2 packets of the soup mix from the package. Mix well and boil for 7 minutes.
Spray a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray. Add your sausage mixture, then top with the soup mixture.
Stir it up and cover with foil. Bake at 400 for 1 hour.
*** If you want it to be a little crispy at the top, put under the broiler for a couple of minutes.
