1/2 cup milk
4 eggs
2 lbs. ground beef
1 lb. Italian sausage
1 1/4 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
1/4 cup fresh Parmesan Cheese, shredded
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
6 cups of marinara sauce. (I've used spaghetti sauce sometimes).
In a large bowl, whisk together milk, eggs. Add the ground beef, sausage, bread crumbs, cheese, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Mix well.
Spread parchment paper on a baking sheet. Spray with Pam. Shape into meatball.
Put your broiler on high. Please rack towards the top. Bake for about 4 minutes. You want these to be a little brown.
Put some sauce at the bottom of your crock pot. Add the browned meatballs. Pour the rest of the sauce over the top. Cook on low for 4-4.5 hours.
*** Vikki's notes: Add a little more milk to the mixture if too heavy and difficult to mix. This makes a lot of meatballs, so thsi freezes well.
